A friend new to Zürich will be taking them over. You wouldn't believe it, but some are still brand new. (Made to buy new text books at the beginning of the course, only to be told that they are switching books a week later. For example.)
As for these papers... I am a little sad to see all my mistakes and bad German grammar get thrown out. But decluttering is what decluttering is...
However, there are 2 special pieces of paper that I will be hanging on to, for a while. Will tell you about them some other time!

They really look brand new and heavy!
ReplyDeleteI still have all my Deutsch books, I'd never give them away, too much jealous :) but good thing if they will be useful to someone else!
Yes! I am totally excited that the books were requested by my new friend. And since I was packing away the books for her, I might as well get rid of those papers too :)
DeleteYou should have written this post in DEUTSCH! Und weil ich neugierig bin, muss ich fragen - wie gut sind deine Deutschkenntnisse?
ReplyDeleteWie gut? So so la la. Ich verstehe Meist Alltägliche Dinge, aber schreibe einfache Sätze.
DeleteThat was tough. And I am sure full of error :-/
So have you officially given up on German or are you fluent enough not to need textbooks? I have finally joined the Migros Schule for a German course 2 evenings a week and finally making some progress nearly 2 years after moving to la Suisse...about time too :-)
ReplyDeleteGood for you!!! I will cheer you on :)
DeleteI have, as you said it, officially given up on German.
Reading your post reminded me that I still have German texts, papers, and notes from the 90s! I can't seem to let it all go...
ReplyDeleteIch bin auch neugierig... Brauchst du die Buecher und alles nicht mehr, weil deine Deutschkenntnisse 'top-fit' sind? Fuer mich waeren meine Deutschkenntnisse nie gut genug! :S
lg,
bea
Absolut nicht 'top-fit'!!!
DeleteOh my Goodness, Juanita, you really ARE in a decluttering mood and mode!!! :) To me, it's practically impossible to give away any books... And as a German teacher, I'd love to have those books, or at least to have them at the school! I'm using "Schritte 1" with a beginner student right now... I don't know "Lagune" though. I'm really jealous of your "decluttering ability", should take some classes from you! ;D
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend!
I am challenging myself. It really is a challenge. I wish to keep some things, still. Imagine the amount of time and stress and money invested in these courses...
DeleteHave you thought about buying a scanner to scan in the papers that you might refer to again but don't want to keep as physical clutter? Cheering you on for your declutter!
ReplyDeleteHey! This indeed is my latest project for the week -- to scan 40 weeks worth of homework, and the relevant written texts. Got this tip from a 'living with less' site. (Need to search the source...)
