The past few Sunday mornings were spent driving under The Hubs' supervision, just short trips back and forth, to specific nearby destinations. The yoga center, mainly.
Today, I drove. All by myself, for 7 minutes.
I was so happy about reaching my destination without losing my way and ending in one piece...
Until I had to park.
I am usually better than this, and I promise to park better next time.
Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLet's toast with a virtual glass of Prosecco!
Wow, is that your new car?! Lucky you :)
Congratulations! Hey don't worry, just takes a few more times before you completely master parking! I have problems parking on the left (driver seat is on the right side of the car). I always end up slightly crooked, but within the line. My instructor told me that's still ok since it's in the line, but I really hate being crooked. :D
ReplyDeleteAt least you don't have to parallel or reverse park. I can never do those since I don't practice them :P
omg I hate parking XD I haven't parallelled in months (...since my test) because I hate it so much... good luck!
ReplyDeleteGo You!! Well done :D
ReplyDeleteYay!!! So proud of you!!! PS - I am also thoroughly living up to the stereotype that women can't park...for now.

I find driving scary...I totally feel your nerves. Yeahy for the 7 mins!!!
ReplyDeleteHey you're in between the lines!
ReplyDeleteThat's not bad. At least you stayed within the lines!
ReplyDeleteIt's in the lines. That's what matters. I still get nervous parking between the lines. ;) They are bit smaller spaces here compared to where I grew up. I'm always backing up and correcting it.
ReplyDeleteThere are far worse parkers out there, dear! You did fine. Have fun with exploring your driving independence. :)
ReplyDeleteI had missed this post -- CONGRATULATIONS, Juanita!!!! I'm so proud of you! :)
ReplyDeleteAccomplishment! In my case, I think the difficulty of driving will gets doubled. I came from a country who doesn't use right hand drive cars.
