From start to finish,
Juanita Tortilla has been created and run by a
team of one. Me. What started out as a catchy little e-mail username is now the brand name for my hand-made goods. I have been making things for as long as I can remember, and daydreamed a heck of a lot, too. In 2004, a friend suggested that I set up an online store. I did just that. So here we are, today. Why Juanita Tortilla? Juanita is my name. Tortilla rhymes with it, I was told. Here's the real story. |

It's all self-taught -- from jewellery-making, sewing, to knitting and crochet. I work with several cups of tea, inspiration, and a penchant for ignoring rules and instructions. I love to re-use and re-purpose materials, transforming them into unique Jewellery, Bags, and iPhone covers. Juanita Tortilla items are one-of-a-kind unique babies. |

Yes, I did say
from start to
finish.
For the
finishing touch,
Juanita Tortilla
hand-made goods
will arrive in
hand-made boxes
and packaging. I turn carton boxes from our kitchen -- and even our unprinted wedding invites -- into boxes. |

Where am I? Originally from Singapore, and having lived in Princeton, New Jersey, I am currently located in this little village called Maur, in Canton Zürich, Switzerland. Who knows where my husband will take us to, next. |
